The B-side collection. Rarities and remixes. The catchall.

In 2008, I saw Girl Talk at the Fillmore. As great as the show was, the visuals that came along with it were quite a let down (especially after seeing Daft Punk the year before). But at some point during the non-stop barrage of spastic animated GIFs pulled off the web, one image caught my eye. It resembled late 70's/early 80's graphic demos, and I thought it was cooler than cool.

I bet the programmers and algorithm researchers of those days had very little idea they were creating such a compelling style for the retro-concious designers of the early 21st century. I also bet they watched Battlestar Galactica a lot. What a bunch of dorks.
