january 21st, 2012: check out my new google tv ads motion project. Broken Time Machines, my musical side project, finally released its first single with "The Ghosts of Mission Street", a six-minute exploration of spacey dream pop melodies, glitchy electro and layered percussion. In terms of art direction, the project is meant to be surreal, muted and slightly reserved, combining conservative typography with stark imagery of believable locations and less-than-believable details, such as the deconstructing jetliner seen through a concrete atrium. copyright © 2008-2012 alex varanese. all rights reserved.
