Hey, remember electroclash? It was huge for like 6 months back in 2003 or so, then vanished out of nowhere like the Mayans. I mention it beacuse it's my love for that fleeting, oft-overlooked subgenre among subgenres that provided both the stylitsic inspiration and partial namesake for Elektrotrash, my "retrotronic, found-art typeface".

That's right, retrotronic.

Anyway, with the exception of Arial, most typefaces aren't literally made from garbage. Elektrotrash, however, not only embraces its junk yard roots, but goes one step further by infusing each debris-riddled letterform with the life-giving power of electricity. The result is a monstrous husk of digital detritus that just barely conceals its groove-loving, jive-talking typographic soul.

What I'm trying to say is that if Frankenstein's monster had been a typeface instead of a seminal figure of 19th century gothic horror, and was also different in every other conceivable way, it'd be just like Elektrotrash.
