The secret to interesting typography lies somewhere between loving letters and hating them. The true experimentalist is therefore driven by both reverence and violence, devotion and disdain.

I hope it's clear that the comma splice in the preceding sentence was poetically intentional.

Anyway, I listened to a lot of The Mae Shi while working on these pieces. Their influence may not be immediately apparent to anyone who isn't me (which is the vast majority of you, I'd estimate), but you can trust me when I say it was an essential part of my creative process. In fairness, however, I should point out that Pop Tarts and cat-related YouTube videos are also an essential part of my creative process, so whatever.

Lastly, all typefaces and lettering in this series are/is original. They're also fortified with sweet, sexy, life-giving riboflavin. Mmmm.
